The creeper will also be aggresive at day, underground or above. Creepers will spawn at night in lightly lit locations. They are as dangerous as they are silent. (Except the footsteps and hissing when they are going to explode.) Also, their explosion is VERY harmful when at short range. Creepers are afraid of Cats and Ocelots. On Minecraft version 1.2.4, They will even ignore your player to run away from them. Health Points: 10 Hearts. Attack Strength: (Maximum Damage) Normal: 24.5 Hearts. Charged: 48.5 Hearts. (Example: Underneath a tree or under a player built structure.) The skeleton received a Al update in Minecraft Version 1.2, that allows them to be as "smart" as zombies. That zombies, skeletons and creepers CAN enter. But it can crawl into 1 block high gaps as long as they are 2 blocks or more blocks wide. Spiders make hissing noises that can easily alert your player. Creepers make a similar, much shorter noise when damaged. Because of their size, they are easy to hit with arrows. They can quickly catch up to your player with their leaping. (They can cover 2 to 3 blocks in one leap.) They aslo obviously have wall climbing abilities. Spiders jump around when attacking, making them harder to hit. When hunting, spiders walk slightly slower than your players walking speed. Unlike zombies and skeletons, spiders will not catch fire in daylight. There is a 1% chance that spider will spawn with a skeleton on it's back, making the dangerous, Spider Jockey. The skeleton's ability to fire arrows combined with the speed, leaping and wall climbing of the spider, makes this a very dangerous opponent. The Silverfish... Silverfish are small, bug-like hostile mobs which have silver skin and black eyes that hide in Monster Eggs found in Strongholds. There are three types of Monster Eggs: Stone, Cobblestone, and Stone Brick Monster Eggs. Each of them look identical to normal blocks, but take slightly more time to mine than normal with a Pickaxe, and will take noticeably less time to mine without one. When the block is mined, the silverfish pops out and attacks. Destroying the blocks via Creepers or TNT simply kills the silverfish. In regular gameplay, Silverfish are only found in strongholds. If left alone, silverfish can re-enter some blocks, namely cobblestone, regular stone, and stone bricks. As of 1.0.0 ,Silverfish can cause damage to your player. The coding behind them allows this to occur when a Silverfish is touching your player and a change of the Y-coordinate of either your player or silverfish occurs. This can easily kill your player, since receiving damage causes your player to perform a short "hop," which counts as a Y-coordinate change, which allows for the Silverfish to damage your player again as your player is coming back down from the initial damage hop. Formerly, Silverfish could not damage your player directly, but would scurry towards your player and push them around, with the tendency to be aggravating and potentially dangerous. When attacked, Silverfish may awaken other Silverfish blocks within a 21 times 11 times 21 block area around them. This can lead to a terrifying swarm if there are enough in the vicinity, and an uncontrolled swarm can quickly destroy dozens of stone bricks within a Stronghold. They scurry away after your player moves a short distance. Health Points: 4 Hearts. Attack Strength: Half a Heart. Spawning locations: After Mining Monster Eggs or Spawners in Strongholds. First Appearance: Beta 1.8pre. Network ID: 60. Savegame ID: Silverfish. Drops: None.
